Ever wondered about locking the dreads? If yes, how do we maintain it? Let us rewind to 1997 when a young boy named Andrew tried to tame his unruly hair. His hair won, and the only solution was dreadlocks. During that time, there was no information on the process or maintenance of it. Fortunately, there lived a girl named Andrea who had read about Rastafarian and other dreadlocking subcultures. She realized that using beeswax and natural oils; she concocted a wax for Andrew’s hair. Andrew’s dreadlocks shined, thanks to the wax. This is the story behind the birth of Knotty Boy. Since then, they have diversified into other products for dreadlocks, including their first dreadlock salon.
