Susan Wakeen
Who is Susan Wakeen? She is an artist and sculptor from Worcester, Massachusetts. Since childhood, she has been artistically inclined. She was a Special Ed teacher who was never far from her art. Encouraged by her sister, she registered in the Boston School for Fine Arts. In 1982, she debuted her sculptures and dolls at the New York City International Toy Fair and was honored for her doll sculpture “Jeanne.” She joined a toy company as a senior designer but continued with her sculptures. She has dedicated herself to sculpting, displaying her pieces in museums worldwide. She also offers classes and workshops.
