Walkers
Henry Walker, a local butcher, began selling hand-sliced potato chips to Leicester residents in 1948. Walkers became a pioneer in the area of flavored crisps, producing novel combinations inspired by Britain's favorite dishes after several million spuds. From Land's Point to the Scottish Highlands, their valuable product originates from 80 distinct British farms. They collect the best potatoes from farms around the UK, and when they arrive at their plant, they have flown out of the truck to maintain them in tip-top shape. They conduct tastings six times a day to achieve potato perfection.
